The Vice-Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele on Monday, 19th November 2018 received delegates from Zenith Bank Plc. in his office. They include: Mojeed Adekunle, Wale Olanrewaju, Akinyemi Tolulope and Babajide Abodunde. The leader of the group Mr. Mojeed Adekunle said that the essence of the visit was to inform the management of the University that the mini branch of the bank on campus has been upgraded to a full branch with all banking facilities available to customers.
According to the new Branch Manager, Mr Mojeed Adekunle, the bank has enjoyed the patronage of the University over time which made it possible to upgrade the existing cash centre to a full-fledged branch.
He said, “We really appreciate the school but we ask for more patronage, we appeal that now that we are upgrading, we want to be your choice bank, conduct all your financial transactions and deploy our IT facilities for the use of the University. We want to ensure that there is no hitch in banking services”. He highlighted the steps taken to that effect while soliciting the support of the Vice-Chancellor and the University community at large.
In response, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Samuel Oye Bandele welcomed the team assuring them of the full cooperation of the University which is, however, hinged on the bank’s implementation of its Corporate Social Responsibility to the host community- Ekiti State University. The Vice-Chancellor also called on other banks within the University environment to revisit their corporate social responsibilities to the University and embark on the landscaping and beautification of their environment.
