The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina has directed all commercial banks operating on campus to improve their social responsibility to the University and key into the new vision of the
Management to transform EKSU to a globally rated institution.
Prof. Aina who met with the representatives of the banks in his office said reports reaching him indicated some professional lapses in the operations of the banks.
Vice-Chancellor mentioned show and unnecessary delay in transfer of salaries from banks to the accounts of staff as well as lack of interests in the beautification project of the University.
Prof. Aina directed all the banks to immediately do the landscaping of their business premises to beautify the area and complement the overall authentic of the university.
He also urged them to reciprocate the University’s patronage by supporting a areas of infrastructural, research, sports and other developmental efforts as part of their social responsibility to the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor also directed that security lights should be installed at all banks.
The Bursar, Mr. Amos Taiwo also charged the banks to increase their efficiency especially in the area of electronic transfer of all forms of financial transactions.
The representatives of the Banks promised to work together and return with a positive work plan to support the growth of the University as well as increase efficiency.
