The submission of applications for admission into the postgraduate courses of the centre for Gender and Development Studies of Ekiti State University has been extended.  The new deadline is January 30, 2015

            According to the Director of the EKSU Centre for Gender and Development Studies, Prof. (Mrs.) Olabisi Aina, the extension was in response to give adequate opportunity to potential candidates who have shown encouraging response to the courses available.

            She said the available courses at the Centre for Gender and Development Studies have expended the catchment space of the University and have attracted national and international attention as applications continue to drop in daily.

            Applicants are advised to visit the website of the University at or refer to the Nigerian Tribune and The Nation newspapers publication of Friday, November 21, 2014.

            Courses available are:

–          Postgraduate Diploma in Gender and Development Studies.

–          Masters of Science (M.Sc) in Gender and Development Studies

–          Master of Science (M.Sc) in Social work

–          Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Gender and Development Studies

–          Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in social work

Application fee is fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.00).

General Requirements

            Candidates must possess a minimum of five credit passes at GCE/SSCE ordinary level (obtain at not more than two sittings) including English Language and at least P7 in Mathematics.
