Ekiti State University achieved historic success on Monday 17th August, 2015 as the newly completed E-examination centre with capacity to accommodate approximately four hundred users at a time and fully
backed with effective wireless internet coverage was handed over to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oladipo Aina.

The representative of the contracting firm, Skeems limited was represented by Architect Bayo Awoyemi said that work started in January 2015 on the project with the directive by the Vice-Chancellor
to follow laid down specifications.

Arch. Awoyemi said the edifice is built to taste, fitted with all required electronic and computer hardwares.

The Director of the ICT Directorate, Prof. Felix Aderibigbe commended  the vision of the Vice Chancellor whom he said was the first Vice Chancellor to conduct computer based Post UTME screening exercise
where all resources used for the 2015/2016 PUTME computer test were
sourced from the University.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Oladipo Aina described the occasion as a major achievement of his administration.

Prof Aina explained that he realized that his vision to make Ekiti State University a world class institution in the 21st century would be a mirage if the University was not a major player on the digital

The Vice Chancellor said: “Ekiti State University is now ahead many institutions following the successful conduct of the computer based PUTME test which was not contracted to vendors”.

The Vice Chancellor later led other staff to inspect facilities at the e-exam centre.
