The Brain Trust Committee set up by Gov. Ayodele Fayose to look into ways of improving the economic potentials of the State with a view towards ensuring a financial enable and economically sustainable Ekiti society has paid a working visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University.

            The Team leader, Prof. J. A. Oloyede who incidentally is a Professor and former head of department, Banking and Finance, Ekiti State University reiterated the commitment of the present administration to identify various means of income and ways to make Ekiti financially independent.

            Prof. Oloyede said members of the committee were drawn from diverse background of professional competence to ensure a thorough job adding that the mandate of the committee include looking at ways to boost the internally generated revenue, IGR of the State.

            The team leader added that the visit to EKSU was to request for a complementing proposal from the university suggesting ways to help the committee achieve its objectives.

            The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oladipo Aina who spoke through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Ibiyinka Ogunlade commended the team for its focus and hardwork adding that quality of members of the team showed the seriousness of the assignment.

            She said that Ekiti State University could boast of qualified academics, researchers experts and professionals who would help develop an economic blueprint for the growth in Ekiti State.

            The Vice-Chancellor assured that a committee would be set up to work on the request of the committee for contribution to the blueprint.
