Ekiti State University has been described as one of the best state owned universities in Nigeria as well as occupying highly respected position in the comity of African Universities.

This was the observation of the Vice-Chancellor of Benue State University, Professor Moses Kembe when he paid a one day working visit to the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele.

The Benue State University Vice-Chancellor explained that he was in Ekiti State University to congratulate Prof. Oye Bandele on his appointment as the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University as well as to exchange leadership ideas and methodology.

Prof. Kembe said that the people of Ekiti State have a long standing reputation as intellectuals, honorable and hardworking people adding that the exploits of the products of Ekiti State University and the quality of academic training over the years clearly marked EKSU out as one of leading universities in Nigeria

He noted that Benue State University, established in 1992, ten years younger than Ekiti State University, would like to collaborate with EKSU in several areas including exchange of personnel.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele said both institutions would strengthen collaboration in various academic fields.

He also congratulated the Benue State Vice-Chancellor on his appointment.
