Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof Patrick Oladipo Aina has called on the Alumni at the institution to emulate the 1989 graduates of the Sociology department in providing necessary support to the University.

He made the call while hosting the Sociology Graduates led by their President, Mr. Godwin Uzoh in his office today. Professor Aina who was visibly happy on the visit urged other members of the alumni in diaspora to support the management in its move to transit EKSU into a world class University.

Professor Aina told them that with about 55 thousand members of the alumni, the University would expect adequate contribution towards the development of the institution from them.

The class Governor of the then 1985-1989 Sociology set, Mr. Godwin Uzoh said they were impressed by the great development brought into the University by the current Vice Chancellor and promised to mobilize others to support the rapid growth.

Other members of the set who spoke glowingly about the positive development in EKSU included  Mrs Toyin Niran Onisile, Mr Olorunsola Olorungbenga, Mrs Bola Olusesan and Chief Peter Adekunle.

The visiting Alumni later donated a complete set of computers to the Sociology Department of EKSU.

During the visit one student lecturers professor Wale Adesina noted that the visiting alumni were among the brilliant students of the set in their days.
