“The commissioning of the Multi-million Information Communication and Technology (ICT) equipment donated to Ekiti State University by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) further boosts the great march of the Institution ICT compliance.” Ekiti State University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele has declared.
The Information Communication and Technology (ICT) equipment were facilitated by Mr. Vincent Seinde Olatunji who is the Acting Director General of NITDA.
According to the Vice Chancellor, “the occasion marks a celebration of success and a celebration of the Alumnus who facilitated the donation”.
An obviously elated Professor Bandele further stressed that the donation of the ICT equipment would make the dream of making EKSU paperless in its activities, fulfilled very soon.
He commended Mr. Olatunji for facilitating the donation, particularly his interest in his Alma mata. Prof. Bandele urged other alumni of the University to positively contribute to the development of the University.
In his remarks, Mr. Olatunji expressed the hope that the equipment would further strengthened EKSU’S position as a centre of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The NITDA boss urged adequate maintenance of ICT equipment.
At the ceremony, the Co-ordinator of the EKSU ICT Directorate, Mr E.K. Falemu commended the Vice Chancellor for his untiring efforts to make the University one of the best in the country.
