The Faculty of Law, Ekiti State University has been commended for its contribution to the society in the past 25 years of establishment through training of professional legal practitioners and law scholars who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers.
Aare Afe Babalola, founder and Chancellor of ABUAD made this assertion during the Silver Jubilee celebration of the EKSU Faculty of Law.
Aare Babalola who was represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, ABUAD, Prof Smiranda Olarinde said the society cannot enforce justice and uphold the rule of law without the contribution of lawyers adding that all faculties of law in Nigerian Universities must leave no stone unturned to ensure that standard and quality of training of lawyers is not compromised.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Sam Oye Bandele expressed happiness with the giant strides of graduates of the faculty of law at the Nigeria law school where they emerged best overall in 2013.
Professor Bandele said the quality of law teachers in EKSU is of the highest standards while the future looks bright.
The Dean, EKSU Faculty of Law, Dr. Benson Omoleye said the Faculty in the last Twenty Five years has graduated lawyers who are judges, Directors of Public prosecution, State counsels and secretaries of Blue chip companies.
The pioneer graduating set of the law faculty donated one million naira towards the construction and equipping of the Electronic Law library.
