The Governing Council of Ekiti State University at its 133rd meeting has appointed a firm of human resource auditors to carry out an audit of the workforce in the university. The Chairman of Council, Prof Bamitale Omole said that the University Governing Council is embarking on the exercise because as the employer, the Council is desirous of knowing the actual number of workforce on the campus for the purpose of administrative, strategic and financial planning which will make the university very competitive, unencumbered and will allow the Governing Council to adequately plan and cater for the welfare of staff and other needs in the university.
He went further to say that the action of the Governing Council is in tandem with the recommendation of the Visitation Panel and as accepted by the Government White Paper which recommended the need to have a workforce that is modern, smart, incentivized and competitive in a modern university system. The Chairman said that the work of the auditors will start immediately.
