A training workshop aimed at introducing the contents of the University Strategic Plan as well as the process of its implementation to the leadership of the University Staff will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, January 4, 2015 at the 3000 seater Lecture Theater.

Those involved include Deans of Faculty Provost, College of Medicine, Directors, Heads of Department and Heads of Unit.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina explained that the five year Strategic Plan will dictate the direction of the University growth and development from 2015 till 2019.

According to him the main goal of the Strategic Plan is to re-position EKSU academically and administratively to enable it provides expected services towards achieving its overall goal of becoming a world-class University.

Meanwhile, the University is set to commission a block industry under the EKSU Ventures as part of its efforts to increase Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

The block Industry which has the capacity to produce ten thousand blocks a week will be opened for commercial transactions with the public and will also produce blocks for the various building construction projects ongoing around campus.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oladipo Aina will commission the block industry on Thursday, January 5, 2015 at ten o clock in the morning.
