The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina has called on interested candidates with potentials in the Media and Arts to take advantage of the newly established Media and Theatre Arts Department of the University.
Professor Aina who commended the candidates who have shown interest in the course said the University management has invested substantially in human and material resources to ensure quality of teaching and learning in the new department of Theatre and Media Arts.
The EKSU Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that a great number of professionals and interested talents in the Media and Theatre Arts industry would benefit from the quality academic training available.
Professor Aina added that efforts are on to expand the frontiers of available academic courses in the University following successful introduction of new courses including Theatre and Media Arts and Gender Studies.
The Head of Department of the Theatre and Media Arts, Dr. Kola Oyewo who commended the Vice-Chancellor for recruiting quality personnel with International credentials into the Department said interested candidates now have opportunities to pursue a successful carrier in the Media and Arts industry.
Dr. Oyewo said admission is still ongoing in the department while necessary arrangements has been put in place for smooth take off of Academic work
