The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof Samuel Oye Bandele has reiterated his commitment to finding solutions to all areas of weakness that stand in the way of development of the University.

Prof Bandele said this during a meeting with the representatives of Elemi Energy, a renewable energy company with the intention of complementing the energy supply to Ekiti State University campus using solar energy.

The Vice-Chancellor said solar energy will reduce the cost of diesel and the over dependent on the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) for energy supply.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Elemi Energy, Mr. David Olofin who was accompanied by the company’s Technical Director, Mr. Anastasius Tzatzalis said the MOU agreement when it becomes fully effective will solve the energy needs of the University and increase productivity.
