All records of students of the Ekiti State University will henceforth be digitalized to enable graduates apply for and obtain their transcripts online anywhere in the world.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele made the disclosure at the matriculation ceremony of the 2015/2016 regular degree students of Ekiti State University students studying under an affiliation programme with Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo State.
According to the Vice Chancellor, digitalization of records will involve those in affiliate Colleges of the University. He informed the newly matriculated students that EKSU was fast growing and breaking grounds in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) stressing that the university portal has been fully deployed in line with global trends.
Professor Bandele expressed delight that the management of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo had strictly adhered to the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding with Ekiti State University by providing conducive environment for quality assurance in line with the National Universities Commission (NUC) benchmark.
The EKSU VC assured that the university would not in any way condone any extension of students’ stay beyond normal. Professor Bandele congratulated the students and advised them to abide by the oath of the matriculation.
The Provost of the College, Dr. Rasak Adefabi enjoined the students to be of good behavior as any illicit acts would not be tolerated. Dr. Adefabi said “there will be no room for any form of misconduct such as examination malpractices and absenteeism.”
He noted that Emmanuel Alayande College of Education and EKSU, have history of qualitative education service delivery and promised to continue giving the best to the students.
The matriculation oath was administered on the students by Mr. T.O Fagbemiro, EKSU Director of Academic Affairs who stood in for the EKSU Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Ogunyemi.
