EKSU has strategized to give students quality and functional education within the normal academic calendars, Vice Chancellor Professor Samuel Oye Bandele has revealed.
Professor Bandele made the revelation at the 2015/2016 matriculation ceremony of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto, Ijanikin Lagos, on Saturday, 5th March 2016.
He told the students who are studying under an affiliation programme of the College of Education with EKSU, that the University would frown at anything that might cause an elongation of the academic calendar. “Students should graduate at record time without delay”, Professor Bandele stressed.
The Vice Chancellor however warned that the University would not condone indiscipline adding that the matriculation oath had placed responsibility of good behavior on them.
He said “This implies that henceforth your behaviour will constantly be monitored to access your suitability for the degree of our University.”
Professor Bandele congratulated the matriculated students and enjoined them to find time to visit Ekiti State University to see the level of development taking place.
The Provost of the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Mrs. O.A. Ladele said the purpose of collaboration between EKSU and Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education was to broaden the quality of Tertiary and Professional education space for residents of Lagos State, Nigeria and beyond.
“It is one of the platforms through which the College provides graduate teachers for the Nigerian school system to drive nation building and National Socio economic development”, Mrs. Ladele said.
