EKSU SECURITY Stakeholders and Security Agencies have been urged to support the ongoing reform in Ekiti State University. The Vice-Chancellor. Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele made the plea at different fora to the Commissioner of police in Ekiti State, Mr.  Etom John James the State Commandant, Nigerian Security Corps (NSCDC), Commander Raji Ibrahim Adedoyin, and the Head Directorate of State Security Services, Mr. Duke Fubara.

Prof. Oye Bandele told the hosts that his visit to them was to urge the Security outfits to continue to help in securing peace on the Campus, adding that the intelligent gathering in University have been very smooth.

He used the occasion to explain that some academic Diploma and Certificate programmes that will benefit all and sundry would take off in the Ekiti State University soon.

Prof. Oye Bandele mentioned some of the new Diploma and Certificate programmes to include Security and Peace, Law, Environmental Management, Crisis Management Theology among others.

Therefore, he solicited for a stronger partnership with the security agencies. The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Etom John James, promised the support of Police to the University, the Commandant of  Civil Defense Corps, Mr. Raji Ibrahim Adedoyin said that his men would provide adequate surveillance  and cover on Campus, while the Head of the State Security Services, (SSS). Mr. Duke Fubara commended the mutual relationship between the University and the State Security Services and promised to further enhance the smooth relationship.
