The Management of Ekiti State University (EKSU), through the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele has directed old students of the institution who are currently on second semester break to keep off the campus and keep away from helping under any guise, new students who have started resuming for the 2017/2018 academic session.
The Vice-Chancellor stressed that no old students should harbour newly admitted students in their hostels, aid them in payment of fees or provide accommodation for new students under any pretence. He said that security agents have been instructed to patrol both the campus and hostels situated in the adjoining communities to apprehend those violating this directive. Professor Bandele warned that any defaulting EKSU student apprehended by security agents would be maximally punished under the extant rules and regulations of the University.
He also reminded all students that death sentence is the penalty for those found guilty of belonging to cultists’ groups in Ekiti State including Ekiti State University.
Professor Bandele assured students and the entire University community of adequate security. The Vice-Chancellor is using this medium to welcome newly admitted students and wish them best of luck in their studies.
