Ekiti State University will take delivery of four brand new state of the arts infrastructure by the end of April, 2016.

The Vice- Chancellor, Prof Samuel Oye Bandele disclosed this during a tour on the ongoing projects across the campus alongside his principal officers and senior members of the University Community. He was Impressed with the level of work done so far and the contractors assured him that four of the ongoing projects will be completed in April.

Some of the ongoing projects the Vice-Chancellor visited are the Female students hostel that comprises of Sixty-nine rooms which the contractors said will be completed and delivered in March.

The Engineering workshop building which is 65% ready alongside the E-exam building. Others are the Faculty of Science s building and the central laboratory.

The Faculty of Management Sciences which is 100% completed consists of two laboratories, two Seminar rooms, HOD offices, Eighty- Six rooms and Thirty- six toilets was also inspected by the Vice-Chancellor alongside the University lecture theatre which is a 4 in 1 lecture hall (250 each), Sixteen toilets and It’s 90% completed.

The tour ended with a remark by the Vice- Chancellor where he commended the efforts of the Contractors, Union leaders, principal officers and Senior members of the University Community and he stated that the buildings are of good standard with amazing work in progress. He assured everyone present that the management is ready to support the projects and he look forward to March as promised by other contractors for the completion of the remaining projects. In his statement “It is history that Ekiti State University is no longer a glorified secondary school as speculated”.
