EKSU WaterIn a bid to improve and expand Internally Generated Revenue, Ekiti State University has begun the production of sachet and bottled EKSU water.

This followed the commissioning of the project as part of the 22nd convocation ceremonies of the University by the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose who was represented by his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose on Monday, March 27, 2017.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele in his opening remarks said that the commissioning was a step in realizing his vision for the University through the utilization of Resources, Ideas, Skills and Knowledge (RISK). He further stated that the water factory was a launching platform for greater heights adding that the project would provide employment for more people. “All the bottles of water to be used during the convocation are produced by the water factory”, he declared.

The wife of the Governor of Ekiti state, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, in her address appreciated the Governing Council of the University as well as the Management of the Institution for their hard work. Mrs. Fayose urged them to continue to embark on revenue yielding projects. She stated that ‘water has no enemy as both living and non-living depend on water’ urging members of staff and the public to patronize EKSU water.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, HRM, Oba Ademola Ajakaye, the Alaworoko of Iworoko, HRM, Oba Michael Aladejana, their Olori’s, the wife of the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Deaconess Janet Olusola and wives of other prominent persons and politicians in the state.
