The Ekiti State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Ibeh Tobias Chidibie has urged all fresh graduates of Ekiti State University to process their NYSC mobilization using the electronic system recently launched by the NYSC.
Mr. Tobias who visited the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oladipo Aina said the management must first appreciate and embrace the efficiency of the e-mobilization system which has been described as a welcome initiative to fast-track the registration of potential corps members and eliminate all mobilization bottle necks.
The NYSC State Coordinator said candidates are to pay N4, 000.00 each to access the e-mobilization platform adding that the university management must encourage the graduates to take advantage of the initiative.
The Registrar, Mr. E.A Ogunyemi said the only constant thing in life is change, adding that the online registration initiative is ideal.
On the request of the NYSC that a single signatory should be on the graduates certificates and results, the Registrar said the signatories are not permanent to their seats.
The Dean Students Affairs Division, Prof. Isaac Adanlawo said the NYSC must involve the university in the newly introduced online mobilization system adding that the University can produce and make profits from the sales of scratch cards to graduates instead of enriching the private cyber café owners.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oladipo Aina who spoke through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Prof. Ibiyinka Ogunlade assured the Ekiti Sate NYSC Coordinator of the Institution’s cooperation.
