The result of the final examination conducted for the first set of Medical students of the Ekiti State University College of Medicine has been released.
The released result indicated 100% pass as all the 43 students presented passed with one distinction.
Reacting to the performance of the Medical students, the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor (Mrs) Olubunmi Ajayi expressed joy and congratulated the first set of Medical Doctors to be produced by the University.
The Acting Vice Chancellor also expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi,  the Pro-chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Bamitale Omole, the College team, led by the Provost, Professor Kehinde Oluwadiya, parents and other stakeholders for their various roles in ensuring that the College of Medicine was accredited.
It will be recalled that the first set of Medical students have spent 10 years on the programme due to delayed accreditation.
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria recently paid a visit to the University and gave a five year approval for the accreditation of the medical programme.
With this development, the Medical students are to be fully inducted into the medical profession in a few days.
