Members of the Ekiti State University Alumni Association have been advised to avoid everything that can lead to division in the association. The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele, gave this advice while receiving some EKSU Alumni members in his office on Monday.

The National President of the Association, Dotun Adetuberu led members of the OSUA Connect, a social group within the National Alumni Association who attended the institution way back when it was known as Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti (OSUA).

The President of the OSUA Connect, Barrister (Mrs.) Abiola Fasuba expressed her joy to be back in the institution that shaped her. She also used the opportunity to correct the notion that OSUA Connect is a rival group of the EKSU National Alumni Association. She clarified that OSUA Connect are loyal members of the National Alumni Association who connect socially to relive the nostalgic experience of their days in OSUA. She, however, praised the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele for his efforts in uniting EKSU Alumni home and abroad to work for the development of the institution.

Speaking at the event, the former President of OSUA Connect, Mr. Steve Kadiri called on all EKSU Alumni to get involved in taking Ekiti State University to greater heights. He shared his belief that EKSU as a legacy should be the pride of everyone that has passed through it.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele commended the Alumni of Ekiti State University and implored them to channel their unity into a good course – moving EKSU forward.
