The leadership of the workers unions in Ekiti State comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Joint Negotiating Council (JNC) have paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele.

The delegation which was led by the Ekiti State NLC chairman, Comrade Raymond Ade Adesanmi eulogized the cordial working relationship between the management of the EKSU and the workers unions, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU), Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Comrade Adesanmi said, that, it was worthy of note the huge sacrifice made by the Vice-Chancellor to ensue prompt payment of salaries in the face of dwindling revenue and the general financial crunch which is affecting the Nation’s economy.

The union leaders urged the University leadership to be relentless on changing the fortunes of the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele thanked the team for the visit and assured them that he was fully focused at making EKSU a great University.
