NUC Accreditation team that visited the Faculty of Law has completed its assignment and handed over a preliminary report to the Vice-Chancellor.

The Leader of the team, Prof. Ehie Oshio said the accreditation had a thorough assessment of the man power, infrastructure, teacher to students’ ratio and the Law library among others.

Prof. Oshio said the Law Faculty has a competent leadership under Professor Akomolede with close to half of the teaching staff strength with doctorate degrees. He said the team was encouraged by the number of academic staff who are on the verge of completing their doctorate degree.

He said the teacher ratio was impressive and conforms to acceptable standard .In finding, the NUC accreditation team said it was satisfied with the annual budget of the Faculty of Law and urged the University leadership to expand the capacity of the moot court, the clinic as well as upgrade the ICT facilities.

The Vice-Chancellor described the report of the NUC accreditation team as fair, objective and acceptable. He said his administration is going to correct all areas of weakness and improve on the strength areas.

Other members of the NUC accreditation team are Prof. Y.Y Bambale from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Prof. Justus Sokemefun and Mrs. Achunugu Ramatu.
