The National Universities Commission NUC, has begun routine accreditation of programmes/courses in the Affiliate Colleges of the Ekiti State University.
The NUC Team was the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo few days ago to assess some programmes, Arts Education and Science Education.
EKSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Oladipo Aina who received the NUC Team at the College commended the overall efforts of the Commission to ensure standard in the education sector through its assessment and accreditation process.
Professor Aina emphasized the commitment of Ekiti State University who is the mother institution of the affiliate colleges to ensure best practices and achieve the demands of the NUC in all the degree programmes offered at the Emmanuel Alayande College and other affiliate colleges.
The EKSU Vice-Chancellor explained that the vision of the University to transform to a world class institution has been embraced by all its affiliate colleges thereby upgrading academic standard and attracting the best tutors to produce graduates who will would be sought after in the labour market.
The NUC Team which was led by Prof. Muhammadu Abdullah, Prof. Dauladi Musa and Professor Oluyemisi Badejo commended the efforts of the Acting Provost of the Emmanuel Alayande College Oyo and the EKSU
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Oladipo Aina for striving to attain excellence.
Other members of the EKSU , Mr. G.O. Oyewobi stand in Provost Team at the accreditation process included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Prof. James Gbenga Aribisala, the Director of DCEP Prof.
Owuamanam, Chairman EKSU Accreditation team, Prof. S.S. Asaolu, Prof. J. Adegun, and Dr. Mrs Osalusi.
The Accreditation process which started on Monday 28th March 2014 ended in Tuesday 29th March, 2014.
