The National universities Commission (NUC) has pledged to continue to act as a catalyst for positive change and delivery of quality university education in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Prof. Julius Okojie emphasized this at the 21st Convocation Ceremony of Ekiti State University.

            According to him “Taking cognizance of contemporary national in new and advancement in the frontiers of knowledge, the NUC has set minimum academic benchmark for all programmes, and constantly review the curricula, as well as resource requirements for quality and effective delivery to students in Nigerian Universities”.

            Prof. Okojie who was represented by Prof. (Mrs.) Adefunke Adekunle stressed that the commission had maintained high standard through accreditation of courses and ensuring every university abides by the rules and regulations of accreditation.

            The NUC Secretary was of the belief that Universities would continue to work hard in order to meet the required demands of quality assurance tenets and ensure quality education of students in the Nigerian Education System.

            Prof. Okojie later congratulated EKSU graduates, their parents, family and friends while admonishing the graduands to abide with the motto of Ekiti State University which is “Knowledge, Honour & Service”
