Ekiti State University (EKSU) Ado-Ekiti is to go paperless in most of its transactions soon:  To this end, a paperless system using EKSU customized tablets will be deployed for most examinations to curb exorbitant paper wastages, examination malpractices and supervision bottlenecks.

The new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele made the pledge during his official inauguration in office attended by the University community.

Professor Bandele who was ushered into the University with prayers at the Main Auditorium of the Institution stressed that the management of the institution would deploy a full blown portal for admissions,examinations, registration of students, bursary and registry operations, teaching and learning processes as well as general administration.

The Vice-Chancellor also spoke about his vision to turn around the Internally Generated Revenue base of the University by having a commercial agriculture in fishery, plantain, maize, citrus and cassava.

Prof.Samuel Oye Bandele further spoke about his ambition to establish EKSU consumable shops, bookshop, sachet and bottled water, bread and branded souvenirs and many other for income generation.

He used the occasion to announce that there would be a restructure of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Directorate of Works and Services, Directorate of Physical Planning,Consultancy Unit, Venture, Procurement Unit and the Transcript Section to enhance their performance.

Professor Bandele said the decision was made in the collective interest of the University.

At the occasion, prayers were said by Pastor J. A. Asubiojo, the State Pastor of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Ado-Ekiti and other men of God that the New Vice-chancellor would succeed in his mission to build a peaceful, virile and a world-Class institution.

Several dignitaries including traditional Rulers were present at the prayer session. They included Onijesa of Ijesamodu, Oba. S. A. Osatuyi; Onire of Ire, Oba Victor Bobade and Oba J. A. Adeleke.
