About Seventeen Thousand candidates seeking admission into Ekiti State University for the 2015/2016 academic session have been streaming to the University for Computer based screening exercise.
The exercise which began on Monday is expected to last for one week.
This year exercise has been acclaimed as best in recent years as both students and members of staff handling the screening is orderly.
The Computer based screening is being handled at the electronic Testing Centre in the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the University.
Commenting, the Vice-Chancellor of EKSU, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina remarked that this year’s screening by the staff of the University unlike past year’s screening was unique in the sense that it was being handled by staff of the University unlike past years when vendors were hired from outside.
He expressed delight that he was the first Vice-Chancellor to achieve the feat in the annals of the University. According to him, some older and first generation universities still hire vendors adding that the innovation would save costs for the University.
