EKSU SANDWICH OR PART-TIME DEGREE NOT INFERIOR

The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof Samuel Oye Bandele has declared that the Sandwich and Part-Time degree certificates are in no way inferior to regular degree certificates. `The Sandwich and Part-Time programmes have been accredited and graduates of sandwich and part-time programmes can do well as any person with a regular degree. Therefore, nobody should discriminate against student and graduates of sandwich and part-time programmes,’’ he said.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele made this declaration during the 2017 Contact Session Matriculation Ceremony of the sandwich degree programme of Ekiti State University Prof. Bandele welcomed the new students to Ekiti State University and assured them that the sandwich programme was in line with the main objectives of the Faculty of Education to “produce teachers at graduate and post graduate levels with a sound academic and professional training in Education.

Prof. Bandele advised the fresh students to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations of the University as they stand the risk of experiencing stiff penalties if any of the regulations should be broken. According to him, “The University frowns at any anti-social behaviour as every student is expected to display the highest level of civility in all cases”.
The Registrar of the University Barrister Akin Arogundade administered the matriculation oath on the students.
