The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof Oladipo Aina has charged the newly posted Divisional Police Officer covering Iworoko Area Division, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bamidele Tawose to maximize the existing working relationship between the Ekiti State University and the Division.

Prof. Aina who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Prof. Ibiyinka Ogunlade said the University has a strategic and essential partnership arrangement with the Iworoko Police Division which has contributed University to effective policing of the area.

Prof. Ogunlade said Ekiti State University due to its non residential status has thousands of students residing around Iworoko which demands that the management must be concerned with their security outside campus.

The newly posted DPO, Bamidele Tawose, a Deputy Superintendent of Police said his visit was a routine familiarization for stakeholders around the police division area to request for cooperation and exchange ideas on lives and property.

Mr. Tawose, an Ekiti indigene said his division will appreciate support and cooperation of Ekiti State University adding that his men will constantly exchanged notes with the security unit to gather intelligence and ensure pro-active measures against crime.
