press-mediaThe Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele has heaped praises on the members of Elite Press Corps, of the Faculty of Education on the successful production and launch of the corps magazines, the second of its kind.

The EKSU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bandele described the quality of the magazine as colourful and of good grade. He stressed that the achievement was a milestone in the annals of the Faculty of Education.

The EKSU Vice-Chancellor encouraged the students to follow a career path that would lead them to success gradually.

The outgoing editor and chief of The Elite Press, Damola Olatunji said the Elite Press was the information arm of Nigerian University Education Students Association, the umbrella body of Education faculty students and was launched in 1991.

The immediate past Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development), Professsor Olufemi Adeoluwa delivered a lecture on career and life where he told the students to be focused, consistent and prayerful.

The Elite Press Corps, thereafter, gave award of recognition to the Vice Chancellor for his outstanding contribution towards the growth and development of the Association (NUESA) during the 2015/2016 academic session.

Other notable University staff who received awards included Prof. V. Olufemi Adeoluwa (Former DVC D), Prof. I.A. Ajayi (Former Dean, Faculty of Education), Ajibade Olubunmi, Deputy Registrar, Information and Corporate Affairs and Mr. Deji Aleshinloye of the Information and Corporate Affairs.
