The reward of hard work is success, and the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University has rewarded the sterling performance of young Table Tennis star, Tosin Oribamise, a 200 level student of Human Kinetics and Health Sciences of the institution.
Oribamise will represent Nigeria at the next youths Olympic games in Argentina. She also won a gold medal for EKSU at the last Nigeria Universities Games held in Markurdi.
Tosin Oribamise one of Nigeria’s top junior table tennis players had also won several international laurels coupled with her recent achievements at the Olympic Qualifiers tournament in Tunisia where she qualified to represent Nigeria brought national honour and prestige to the country and Ekiti State University.
For her rare feat, NUGA Games selected her as the most valuable athlete of the 2017 NUGA Games.
At the reception organized for the EKSU contingent to the NUGA Games, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele said Tosin Oribamise is a pride of Ekiti State. He announced a cash gift of one hundred thousand naira for clinching the Olympic Qualifying Ticket and another one hundred thousand naira for her Gold medal achievement at the NUGA Games in Markurdi.
Tosin Oribamise is already pursuing her academic degree on the scholarship approved by the Vice-Chancellor.
The Vice-Chancellor announced at the occasion that henceforth, any athlete who wins a gold medal for EKSU will be given a scholarship.
