Ekiti State University is to give opportunities to students of the institution to earn stipends through a work initiative that will allow students work for few hours per day for the University.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele gave the hint few days ago during a monthly prayer of the University inside the University auditorium.

According to him; students would be employed for one or two hours in a day for sundry jobs, such as typing, distribution of water and ushering among others.

The programme, the Vice-Chancellor said, is to be supervised by the Ekiti State University ventures. He announced that Professor Remi Famiwole will head the committee to fine tune the arrangements.

In another development, the Vice-Chancellor has commended the staff of the University for being one of the neatest among staff of Universities in the nation.

He announced that the University would want every member of staff to dress corporately on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays while they could dress casually on Wednesdays and be in native dresses on Friday.

At the occasion, Professor Bandele urged all students to register on the University portal stressing that those who refuse to register will lose their studentship.
